After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps in July of 1976, Dennis enrolled in Dundalk Community College located in Dundalk, Maryland to continue his education using his veteran education benefits. During this exposure to tertiary education, Dennis discovered the academic discipline related to his natural curiosity. It was during this experience that Dennis developed a passion for Ontology, a branch of Metaphysics concerned with the nature and relations of being. Dennis Berry is Electronics Design Engineering Certified and has managed a test and measurement unit in an industrial environment. He assisted with the ISO 9002 certification process of the unit that he commanded. Mr. Berry served as a training facilitator with Bethlehem Steel Corporation, X'press Imaging (an authorized Xerox Agency), and mentored with Jon Maxwell at BASF Corporation. Dennis served as a Bethlehem Steel Corporation safety committee member charged with the task of creating policy and procedures for O.S.H.A. regulatory compliance. He acted as a facilitator during the evaluation and adoption of proposed policy and procedures by joint union and company committee members and as a training facilitator during personnel training. Dennis has retail management experience in marketing, personnel selection and training, and operational supervision including safety, scheduling, quality assurance, and client relations. Dennis Berry serves as a Facilitator specializing in Personal and Team Empowerment Training, Systems Analysis/Resource Management, and Organizational Development. In 2004, Dennis established a sole-proprietor business serving his community as a Consulting and Training Facilitator with a focus on information technologies. He uses much of his free time to pursue an independent study of ontological concepts and further develop his approach for sharing the results of his passionate quest with others. A resident of Slidell, Louisiana, Dennis Berry is married and father to a daughter and son. |
